Not so fast, fella... :-)  If you look carefully at that list (you can get it
from the mailing list archives), you'll see that there are quite a number of
things on it that are not in 1.8.0.  I don't have any intentions of adding any
more of them before quitting.  Sorry, but it would appear that I lied when I
wrote that list (albeit unintentionally)...
