problem with database parsing2

Erm - I forgot to mention something: I also tried the workaround the BSD
bug that is suggested in the FAQ - doesnt help. I only get a slightly
different log:

Feb 17 17:05:25: *** PARSER: Line 2:  Unknown built-in function: if
Feb 17 17:05:25: *** PARSER: Line 3:  syntax error
Feb 17 17:05:25: *** DB_READ: Unparsable program #0:0, i = 1.

Does that workaround help only in BSDi 1.1 (according to FAQ) or also in
other versions? How can I find out which version that machine has..?
