Getting Outbound_Network going....

Howdy.

  I am having a small problem with getting outbound network connections
to work on my MOO (LambdaMOO-1.7.8p4). I have followed the suggestions in
the FAQ (ie. editing options.h to uncomment the OUTBOUND_NETWORK definition
with the NETWORK_PROTOCOL set to NP_TCP) with no success. What I see in 
return after compiling and restarting the modified moo is :-

[here, I am sending a MOO-Mail to myself with +netmail and .email_address set]

Sending...
Receiving mail from LordCyric (#2) and forwarding it to your
 .email_address.
Mail sending failed: Networking is disabled.
Mail actually sent to LordCyric (#2)

Can somebody please help me out here??
