I can't help much with that error unfortunately, but would recommend that 
you upgrade your version of Linux to 1.2.13, as that might be the problem.

You can get the patch files from sunsite.unc.edu or one of it's mirrors.  
Probably in /pub/linux/slakware or something similar.
