Blackbriar suggested the correct answer:  50 is a hardcoded minimum,
but if you set $server_options.max_stack_depth to something larger
than 50 then it is obeyed.  In my ignorance and desire not to be
spammed, I was only testing with small numbers.  Setting it to 70 got
me spammed with a 70 line traceback, as it should.
