compiling on linux

The MOO-Cows FAQ already contains instructions about solving the
missing sqrt problem under Linux (-lm).

It isn't clear why certain people appear to be having a "me too!" vote
on the mailing list when anyone could have a more detailed
tutorial on Linux server compiling added to the FAQ by sending one to
me.   I have only noticed a couple Linux questions that were not the
question already covered in the FAQ.
