Mgetty 1.0.0 with AIX 4.3 needs debug level 5 or more to allow login

Interesting. Could you run mgetty from inside gdb and send me a stack
trace when this happens? ("gdb mgetty -> run -x9 tty1 -> where")

Yes, this is normal - mgetty must be run from inittab.

So something crashes here... interesting indeed. I will try to reproduce
that on AIX 4.3 next week, but for all our customer's machines on 4.3, it
works nicely so far.
How does the log look like with "-x9"?
