The problem with that is the high resolution of the G3 file - 1728 pixels
width cannot be displayed on a standard monitor, and thus "xpaint" won't
work without scaling the image first, which breaks the quality.
I'm not sure about the Gimp, but that's a lot too heavyweight for my
taste.
(And, while technologically 'interesting', I don't like Russells 'type
blind, make a pipe to pbmtext/g3paste' solution too much - I want to *see*
what I do, especially if I have the feeling that I mistyped something).
