mgetty problems

I'm have a problem with getting mgetty to work on a 486/33 with RH 6.0. 
When a call comes in, it displays a small amount of the initial logon
screen then disconnects, if another call comes in, mgetty won't pick up
and the computer has to be shut off and turned back on to reset the boca
14.4 internal.  My logs complain about a failed chat script.  Here is
