I have USR 33.6 Sportster Voice. I want to setup vgetty and use the modem as
an answering machine.

The problem is that when somebody calls, can't hear the greeting message. I
have correctly made the standard.rmd file: 1) recording directly to the file
using vm, 2) recording a wave file (with the correct sample rate for my
modem) and the converting it to pvf and to rmd.

Using vm I can hear the greeing message via the modem's (external) speakers:
vm play standard.rmd -l ttyS0 -s
Also I can record a message using the handset. And with that way I made a
standard.rmd file but nothing

I have checked out the log files, when somebody calls, it reports that the
standard.rmd file is being played. The SD led from the modem is flashing
which means it sends out the voice file. The only error I see in the log
file is

"VTD setup successful
 vgertty: Modem returned error
 setting ringback delay didn't work
 waiting..."

Please I need somebody to help me. I need to fix this till Sunday because I
will have a trip and I want to setup the voice answering machine till then

Do I have to add any parameters in voice.conf at section "program vm"? Maybe
this is causing the problem (?)

Also I have tried to enable raw modem and use even a wave file. But nothing

The greeting message is being played while somebody calls the vgetty but the
caller can't hear anything.
