Well, that's the first problem that makes it so hard to track, mgetty
doesn't see anything, so there's nothing in the logfile. That's why I
said that I am not sure that it's actually an mgetty problem and that
I wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this.
I tried to call our modem pool several times while watching the led's
on the modems but I can't see there anything happening either. But
it's possible that I missed the flickering of an AA led. I think it's
either the modem, the PTT or mgetty. I think that mgetty is the least
likely possibility, but don't want to dismis it before I am sure of it.
