I have an external Creative Modem Blaster(DE620-2) with Fax class 2
capability. I am happy to announce that it works perfectly fine in Cls2
mode, and has no problems doing serial dialin, ppp dialin, and fax
reception on the same line. This modem runs about $75 at Fry's
electronics, and is actually cheaper than many Class-1 only external
modems, and is fully labeled "Modem Blaster Flash 56 II external". 

Take care. I heard rumors that there is an older Creative Modem Blaster
with a DE620 that claims Class 2 capability yet is only capable of Class
1.

Sending faxes hasn't been tested yet, but I've no doubts that'll work fine
too.
