changing Netmask for ppp dial in ?

First of all, this has nothing to do with mgetty, it is a PPP issue.

Second of all, I doubt you really want to change the netmask. The PPP
connection is actually a separate interface as far as the system is
concerned. If you want the remote node to appear as if its on the local
network when it is dialed in, I suggest that you look at the proxyarp
option.

I have change it in the option file
but no change is happen

must i do it in the options.tty$ file ?
