Hmmm, this could also be a similar problem as what I solved about a year
ago for my external USRobotics Sportster modem which gave a DAILTONE while
playing/recording.
Search for "Basjes" in mgetty-1.1.21/voice/libvoice/USRobotics.c for the
patch i'm refering to.
