Well, I would have to change the damn name again (forgefax?). The
facility would certainly be useful, but I do not feel it belongs in
viewfax. I am trying to keep viewfax as unbloated as possible, to
show that there are X-applications without 3-D gouraud-shaded
multi-chromatic bells and whistles.
Converting incoming faxes to tif is easy - use fax2tiff to gather the
pages into one g4-encoded file for archiving. Then either there is an
editor for bilevel tiff files or you get to write one. Then we have
to help Gert over his tiff allergy so that mgetty+sendfax will accept
multi-page tiff files as input.
