My "classic" recommendation is the ZyXEL 1496, which is simply a very good
and stable product for data/fax/voice. Now, since you need V.34, the 1496
won't do, and the ZyXEL for your needs will be the 2864.
I don't know how well the voice support in vgetty for the 2864 *works* (I
didn't try it yet), but it's definitely there. Mgetty works very well, I
have an 2864 here and it works fine.
