Just to nitpick - 2.x *should*, but 2.3 SPARC and 2.4 SPARC+x86 *do*
work OK.

In 2.3 PPP was broken *beyond belief*. In 2.4 it seems to be running OK,
but I'm using dp, so I can only judged from other peoples' reports in
comp.unix.solaris, etc.

On x86, I went straight from 2.1 to 2.4. Quite some change... If I remember
correctly, 2.1 did not have asppp, so I *had* to use dp or some other
PPP implementation. I didn't change back, either.
