another viewfax suggestion

Hi.

I read the thread about viewfax addons.
There is another thing, I am missing.
Whenever I write a fax with TeX, it has the fixed height of a whole
page, even if I just want to write a few lines. With paper fax machines
I can cut the paper and so reduce the phone costs and don't waste paper
on the receiving machine.
It would be great if one could do this height cropping directly from
viewfax. If this would be to difficult to implement, is there any other
program or combination of programs to do this?
