Shell script after vm

This might be a question too easy for the wiz's, but anyway:

When I've recorded a message, ie I have it as a blablabla.rmd filem I want
to convert it to a wavefile and put it in another directory.

Of course, I can do this as a cronjob (checking the dir, converting, etc)
but I feel that it would be easier to run some sort of script after vm instead.

The commands I'd like to perform are
lintopvf -7200
pvfcut -T 7
pvftowav
rm
chmod

How do I do it?
