mgetty-1.1.19 + solaris 2.6

Hello,

I'm trying  to connect to a  sun sparc-5 workstation  running solaris
2.6 through a modem using mgetty-1.1.19.

When I try to connect from a pc, I get the prompt login (given by
mgetty), I can type a username and that is all !!!!
I used truss on the mgetty process, it reads the config file, gets
connected  and then waits ...

Does anyone have any experience using mgetty on a SUN workstation  to
allow a PC to connect through a modem ?
