ZyXEL 2864DI, ELSA MicroLink TL/V.34, USR I-Modem.  Or get a small PABX
("Telefonanlage") and hook up your favourite analogue modem.

"trouble free" seems to be fairly impossible.  What is the most important
usage for you, fax or data/voice?  Depending on this, my recommendation
will be different.
