Miro Connect 34: Does it work with mgetty?

Hello,

a colleague of mine is selling a Miro Connect 34, i.e. an internal modem and
wavetable sound card. He wants just a few Marks for the card so I thought about
using it for a small fax server solution (I hope I can completely disable the
sound parts).

The question is: Is this card supported by mgetty+sendfax? Is there any good
reason not to choose an internal modem?
