I'm still using 1.1.14 but it works with voice (assuming it's a sportster).
It's difficult to say if yours will work since there are too many firmware 
versions out there: mine has recording broken and I had to patch vgetty to 
handle it. The previous revision (of firmware) worked fine with voice but it 
didn't support V90 (useless anyway, since my provider, although supports V90, 
barely reaches 100bytes/second on average).
I'm just using it as an answering machine, though (apart from data, that is).
