At least in the German version of this law there's no provision 
whatsoever about cooperation of that other company. It simply states that 
you have the right for decompilation and the right to give copies to 
another party (even the source if you happen to have it!!) to correct 
bugs (there's no statement and no definition -- now wonder !! -- what a 
bug is) or to create a new interface....
