There is no way to change this. All you can do is to try to create an
alt.comm.mgetty group. The de.alt.comm.mgetty group is already an
international one, ... in the wrong hierachy (german speaking).

No newsadmin is allowed to create, delete or move a newsgroup without
any discussion of the whole UseNet...

Why not go back to moderated status ?
