With the modified timeout, it works quite well. I use this for "emergency
alerts": when our main servers or routers die, a watchdog machine will
call my mobile phone and tell me about it. If I press "1", that's it. If
I press "0" (or nothing), the watchdog will call another colleague, to
make sure someone will fix the problem.
When I have cleaned this up somewhat, I can include it in the samples
collection.
