vgetty support for new practical peripherals 33.6 +voicemail modem?

I have only recently started using mgetty, and was interested in
vgetty, but have not selected a voice capable modem to use it with.

I just saw that practical peripherals has a new 33.6 modem with voice
capabilities for around $130 US, which seems to be a good price. The
only other voice modem available easily around my home is the US
Robotics one which sells for around $170 US. From what I can tell, the
USR modem is still having some troubles with vgetty, but I have not
stayed current wit hvgetty development, so please correct me if I am
wrong.

Any advice welcome,
