\newcommand\hyla{HylaFAX}
Dear friends,
I write to the list for a somewhat unusual question: I first tried
using mgetty+sendfax, but I gave up since my boss needed a program to send
her faxes (through this linux box) from her macs and pc's. Since then, I
installed \hyla\, and used it for outbound service; now, as I haven't been
able to let mgetty get faxes, even if I heard the acknoledgments (weird
errors on the console, telling the receiving script was not found in its
place, and so on), and since \hyla\ is able to let its client read the
faxes stored on the server, I tried to install faxgetty, and to have
mgetty called only for data calls. No way to have it run; I tried to put
the right command arguments, in \hyla\ syntax, and made myself sure
faxgetty should start /usr/local/sbin/mgetty for data calls (I have even
read through the executable with strings, and found the right fully
qualified path). Nope... Maybe there is someone out there who could help
me... Really, I love mgetty's autoppp, and now came the callback before
login... HELP ME PLEASE
Yours
