faxgetty, how do I do to spawn mgetty when I get a data call?

Sorry, I forgot it... It's really simple: linux 2.0.29 (compiled today,
was 28, but it makes no difference), libc.so.5.4.20, gcc 2.7.2.1,
libg++2.7.2, HylaFAX 4.0pl1. 

Hope the rest of the details are enough to understand what the hell is
doing to me... 

While I'm on this, I succeded to have mgetty spawn pppd, but the remote
side does only see the server, even if I put in proxyarp and so on. Did 
someone discuss this in previous times? If so, may you please point me to
a 'digestified' mail archive? At last, a small correction to the standard
Auto_PPP line in login.config: it should be added a -detach option, since
else it didn't leave the serial (and the modem) even after a long time
since connection loss.
