Best Voice Modem?? & other Q's

Hi,

I have been following this list for the last couple of weeks, getting
a feel for things.  I have also grabbed the source code & browsed 
through the voice extensions to the package.

I think I am ready to take the plunge & convince my boss to spend some
money on a modem.  It would appear that the ZyXEL modem is a common
choice.

Is this the BEST modem with regards to the voice extensions?  Within
reason, money is not the issue, reliablilty is more important.

What Manufacturer, Model, & ROM level would the best choice?

I am writing from Canada.

Also, I saw recently a comment come across the mailing list about 
"Why do we have the mailing list archived?", in response to 
something that is asked frequently.  Would it be possible to add the
method of access to the mailing list archive to the FAQ.

In the source I picked up, the FAQ dated December 5, 1996 was in there
and there was no mention of the mailing list being archived.
