Best Voice Modem?? & other Q's

That's because I'm using those modems myself and the whole vgetty
development is based on these modems.

As all readers of this list already know, my answer is yes. In my eyes,
ZyXEL modems are the most reliable modems you can get.

The good old ZyXEL 1496 is still the best, but it is now very closely
followed by the new ZyXEL Elite 2864 (both analog and ISDN). So for a new
modem, I would recommend the Elite. The latest available firmware from
www.zyxel.com is the best one to use.
