16 x fax only

I'd recommend MultiTech. So far, they seem to be the most reliable fax
modems around (though they can't do ISDN).

You have to be careful, though -- there seem to be "low-priced" and
"high-priced" MultiTech modems around, and I have received one report
about the "low-to-medium-priced" model that showed very strange firmware
problems. Support from the reseller (Langner Datentechnik) was also 
very poor -- they demanded that we buy their fax software, no support
otherwise.

With Multitech themselves, my experience has been very very good, and 
the modems that I tested have been very good, and very reliable.

I don't know whether they offer rack mount variants.
