Ok. Here goes the log file ( -x9 log level)
The message I am suspicious about appears when initalizing
the modem
- MultiTech ZDXi 28.800 External modem
It's attached to a Cyclades Cyclom 8Zo PCI IO-card
- Linux RedHat Picasso 3.0.3, kernel 2.0.27

What is "TIOCMBIC" ??
But as I said, It does work..
By the way:
Just got a USR Sportster 28.8/33.6 Data/Voice/Fax PnP External
Anyone with experience with this kind of modem?
(Haven't tried it with Linux yet tough..)
At http://www.usr.com it says it has Caller-ID, but my ati7 or
the manual doesn't mention it.
Bought it in Sweden where I live.. Maybe it's a swedish version?
I have big trouble connecting to the above mentioned MultiTech
when dialing from Windoze-95..
Once it did connect. At 9600, compression and error control disabled..
Maybe I'll change to another modem..
