Problem with Vgetyy (Cont'd)

I increased the debug level of vgetty but did not obtain a different
debug output. Still looked like this:

Based on this I went ahead and installed mgetty 0.99 distribution
with the old version of vgetty and it works like a charm.

One remaining problem is the terrible quality of the "*.rmd" message
files. I know that my modem (Hayes Accura 28.8 Voice -Rockwell chipset)
is capable of receiving better quality voice mail . I would really
appreciate it if someone can tell me how to increase the quality of
recorded messages.
