There are a couple of different approaches.  On unix systems, mounting
/var/spool/fax/outgoing/ over NFS and running "faxspool" locally on the
clients works pretty well.  

In a Windows environment, look at "frontends/windows/" in the mgetty 
source tree for ideas.
