couldn't reset a modem

Hi all,

I have vgetty running on my linux box. Got one problem though. Every
time after I got a message or use vm to play a message, the modem will hang
there. Using minicom to reset the modem was also not successful. I can
hear the dial tone from the phone. Below is a short part of my log
file. Vgetty complains about something but I couldn't make it out.

It's a DAVICOM 33.6 fax/data modem. I guess this isn't a popular modem
'cause vm couldn't convert a wav file to its format.
