I'm working on a solution based on
mgetty+sendfax
samba
respond+printfax.pl

for SMB (win.os/2) Clients. At the client, you have to load winpopup
and respond.exe. Respond stays in the tray. Then you create a network-
printer pointing to the printserver of the SMB Server on Linux.

In your Linuxsystem you have to update

/etc/local/lib/mgetty+sendfax
/etc/local/bin
/etc/local/etc/mgetty+sendfax
/etc/smb.conf

You should have installed PBM tools or/and fax2tiff to convert
your faxes. Mgetty+sendfax should be compiled by defaults,
regarding to the paths to the faxspooler /var/spool/fax/....
and all other lib,etc,bin-paths of mgetty+sendfax.

Aim of the faxsolution is, to bundle the bunch of existing
utilities by writing parts of faxspool and faxrunq new.
Finally, admins could manage the faxserver by a simple
setup-routine.

But it's designed for use with a single modem. For multiple
modems you have to use faxrunqd instead of my faxrunq-Version.

If you like Alpha-releases please let me know ;-)
