Yes, faxg3 can be used as well, depending on which driver has been
compiled in. Look at the "faxspool" file for the way the different
drivers can be used.

Simple postscript is actually pretty easy (and you can play with it
interactivel by just starting "gs" with the X11 driver and entering
postscript commands at the gs prompt).
