remote access for win95 boxes

hello everyone,
 I was trying dialin server using mgetty in FreeBSD
have chap-secrets but wont get past "Veryfing username & password ".   BSD
box has error, something like " Cant find secret(s) authenticate against"..

By looking with ps during dial-in Iam  able to tell
mgetty is able to link to pppd but fails "auth"..
Of course its something I missed or mistakenly overlooked. Please point out
my errors..
