Granted, but I did not write the archiving software; it is PiperMail.
I maintain these archives on a volunteer basis, and I have no time
right now to dig into an obscure bug in a large package I did not
write.  My suggestion was intended to permit users of the archives,
buggy though they may be, to nonetheless find the FAQ anyway, in spite 
of the bugs in the archiving tool.  It seems to me that the purpose of 
the reminder and the archives is to help people, not to create more
bugs for them to chase down.  Do we have any volunteers to fix
PiperMail?  If so, email me privately.
