Zoltix Modems for Vgetty

I'm in the process of researching voice mail for linux, which I'll be
setting up using mgetty and vgetty. I'm thinking of purchasing a
Zoltrix 33.6 voice modem based on a rockwell chipset. It's an internal
ISA card. Any comments on Zoltrix modems with mgetty and vgetty?
I've visited the modem database site at greenie.muc.de, and I notice a
Zoltrix is listed. However, there is no data as far as anyone using it,
it would seem. I also noticed that for fax support Class 1,1.0 and 2
are not supported. Does this mean that I couldn't use fax or that I
simply couldn't make use of outdated fax classes. Fax isn't important,
voice is all important.
I have a cable modem for my internet connection, so a modem is more of a
nuisance, unless it has voice capabilities.
Also, I've got a machine piled high with cards, with Linux I've got the
following irq's free 3,4,6 and 8. The modem includes jumpers, but do
modems have favorite irqs. Or should this not be a problem.
I appreciate all the help.
Thanks again,
