I would advice you to get a proven one like Zyxel. While
it is more expensive, the time and effort it is going to
save you would worth much more than that. We are not talking
about some off-the-shelf voice mail/fax package for 95 which 
seems to work once in a while but never passed reliability
test. vgetty/mgetty are supposed to be server grade software
which should be matched with some server grade modem. Many of
the 50 bucks one suck.

BTW, I had some bad experience with internal fax modem
cards in general.
