Distinctive Ring *AND* Caller-Id

I have a USR V.90 modem with Caller-Id and Distinctive Ring capability.  I
am having problems with the DR (the clock on the modem is running too
fast, which is causing the DR to report the wrong ring types), and while
trading emails with USR support they volunteered that their modems cannot
do both DR and CID at the same time (but didn't say why).  Someone else
suggested it was because they didn't put enough RAM on the modem to hold
the CID information and still have room to store the ring pattern status.
Anyway, I'm getting really frustrated with this piece of garbage and may
simply buy another modem.  Does anyone know of a 56K voice/fax/modem
(preferably internal, non-winmodem) that does both CID and DR at the same
time?
