Ah.  Now I see.  That version is ancient.  Current is 1.1.20 (the "20" 
in "Jan20" got me irritated, so I didn't notice immediately).

If you want to use glibc, you need a more recent mgetty version - 1.1.0
doesn't work reliably with glibc2.

http://alpha.greenie.net/vgetty/ is all there is right now (and the docs
in the source).  For vgetty, you definitely want 1.1.20.

That would be helpful, yes.  Griz is working on the vgetty part (at least
he was :) - griz, any news?), but more hands get more work done... and
vgetty documentation is definitely still lacking. It's powerful, but
sometimes hard to get right.

Thanks, glad to hear that.  I'm sure, though, that it could need some
work in a number of places.
