sendfax and EOP

Greetings,
I seem to be having a weird problem with the sendfax package.
Sendfax sends the fax ok, but the fax machine doesn't
respond (or perhaps respond soon enough ) to the EOP
call so sendfax fails to remove fax from the queue even though
the fax machine recieives it ok...
If anyone knows a workaround or quick fix, it would be greatly
appreciated. Or is this particular fax machine just stupid ?
Has anyone seen this problem with other fax machines?
