Question about mgetty

Hello,
perhaps this is a stupid question:

I´ve setup mgetty and mgetty works fine. I´m able to receive faxes and
to convert them to gif and so on.

Now I tried to setup my linux-ppp-server.

I compiled the mgetty with -DAUTO_PPP

When I try to dial into my linux-ppp-server with an Win95machine I m
able to see the login in the terminal-window. And I can see that the
pppd is starting on the Linux-ppp-server.

But I am not able to give in the login name and password because the
linux machine cancel the connection after about 3 sec.

I searched in the inetd.conf and services. All services are allowed.

So what do you thing should I do ?
