pppd login failure

Hallo,
about two weeks ago, I posted that I have problems to let someone log
in by using ppp. So I found the time to test it myself and I got the
following logfile by pppd. I know this is a bit off-topic so please
excuse me, but I think I will find someone on this mailing list who
can help me.
So everything seems to be right but it fails.

The username and password are the same I typed in my Win95 login
boxes. I changed the password in my linux environment and my
pap-secrets file looks like that:
># Secrets for authentication using PAP
># client server secret IP addresses
>tocotron 10.20.10.1 xxx 10.20.10.3
What about that?
10.20.10.1 is the server
10.20.10.3 is the modem
