Redhat / USRobotics / mgetty

I installed the mgetty rpm package. After needing 4 other RPMs, finally
mgetty says it needs "/sbin/ksh" Not sure why, but it does. I foun this file
on the CDROM, added it to /sbin but mgetty is still not happy. What is this
file??

So I forced the mgetty installation. OK. added this to my inttab:
S0:2345:respawn:/sbin/mgetty -D -a -x9 ttyS0

mgetty seems to hummin right along. Now a call comes in, the modem answers,
and after about 3-4 seconds the modems do not negotiate, and it hangs up!
Looking at the log file, the last line says... Waiting for CONNECT

Im using a sportster 33.6 faxmodem external, with Redhat 5.0 (installed only
packages from the CDROM, no upgrades...)

I figures there may be a "special" setup for this modem. I also was wondering
if it had something to do with this "/sbin/ksh" file or the wrong glibc
files.

Thanks very much
