Gentleman,

I seem to remember someone asking about how caller id worked on the USR
33.6vi modem for possible inclusion into the vgetty program. I don't
remember seeing anyone respond, so here is sample caller id stuff from my
 modem.

hopefully it is enough to get caller id working for this modem.

However, it is possible i missed the boat, and am looking for the callerid
 information in the wrong place?

Also,

Is there an easy way to do some post processing on the voice message file in
/var/spool/voice/incomming after the person calling hangs up?

I ask because i want to remame it to the date+time it was created, and
 caller id info once available.

and as long as i am spewing questions out, is there a good reference for
learning how to write the voice mail jail scripts? or is this still a black
 art?
