	Hi there.

First of all thanx to Gert and all the people that has contributed
programming, desingning, etc, etc, mgetty. It's a very nice piece
	of software :)

	Well, the box:

Pentium 120MHz, 40MB RAM, Comtrol RocketPort ISA 32 ports,
	RedHat Linux 4.0, kernel 2.0.18, mgetty-1.0.0, a hacked
	pppd-2.2.0f, rocketport driver 1.12, and 32 external
modemsModemSURFR 28.8 and LifeSTYELE 28.8 mix).

Originally this box ran kernel 1.2.13 (slackware) with little
problem (sometimes the client side hanged and pppd still was
running, fixed with a script) and decided to upgrade to RedHat 4.0
for security and the easier administration.

The thing was that i started to have problems daily (with one
random modem generally): the client side hanged and the modem
disconnected but then, the port was out... even minicom didn't see
the modem, nothing... it was just like if the modem was turned
off..... well, i read the FAQ, the manual, and then, as
the manual said for some modems, increased toggle_dtr_waittime to
2000 (that's 2 seconds) and it seems that the problem is gone. I
hope that this info can be useful to somebody out there.

	Thanx!
